Teachers and Master's Degree Program in Human Development participate in publication on university extension

Organized by professors from the University of Taubaté, Luzimar Goulart Gouvêa, Thais Travassos; Virginia Mara Próspero da Cunha and Renato de Sousa Almeida and Professor Rodrigo Machado da Silva, from the Federal University of Ouro Preto-UFOP, the second volume of the set of texts produced from extension actions promoted by the University of Taubaté was published (UNITAU). Entitled “UNITAU in the community: reports of extension practices – Volume 2”, the work is included in the series of publications called Publicações PREX. this volume, just like the first, presents reports of experiences of university extension projects carried out within the scope of UNITAU. The work is organized in two parts.: 1: Experiences prior to the pandemic and 2: Experiences in the pandemic.

Regarding the Master's Program in Human Development-UNITAU, in addition to the participation of Prof.. Dr. Renato de Sousa Almeida, who is a permanent teacher of the Program and one of the organizers of the work, in the publication there are four chapters in which there are graduates, Master's students and professors of the program among the authors. prof. Alexandra Magna Rodrigues, professor and coordinator of the Program is the author of one of the chapters in partnership with one of the Master's students of the Program, Luiz Alexandre de Paiva Canavezi. or chapter, from the experiences of the extension project coordinated by the teacher is entitled: “Project Flavors and knowledge of the countryside: healthy food and agriculture”. prof. Rachel Duarte Abdala signs with fellows and volunteers from the extension project two chapters that also had the participation of Nathália Maria Novaes Victor, graduates from the program, guided by the teacher and who was a volunteer in the Extension Project that was, inclusive, the object of your master's research. The chapters are titled: “Using technology and social media to teach about heritage: the experience during the Covid-19 virus pandemic” and “Heritage education: the identity relations between patron and school community”. completing the set, there is the text by Aline Liz de Faria, graduates from the Program, professor at UNITAU and currently coordinates the PAIE-Program for Integral Attention to Aging at UNITAU. or chapter, written in partnership with other people is called: “The communication interfaces: from face-to-face to digital resources, perspectives of the elderly in the face of technologies”.

In addition to the initiative of publishing these reports of extension practices, contributing to the dissemination of these experiences, also strengthens the links between teaching, research and university extension at the university.

The book launch took place on 11 November at the SEMEX-Extension Seminar promoted annually by UNITAU.
