The Graduate Program in Human Development-PPGDH of the University of Taubaté held on the day 26 from May of 2025 the Field Day event.
The event was held at the Bom Conselho Campus, from the University of Taubaté and aimed to promote greater rapprochement and articulation between the university and the community through research. The PPGDH has an inherent tendency to contact different sectors of society and communities due to its scope and principles that are expressed in the research themes and the fact that several professors from the Program coordinate university extension projects.
In its third edition, The event was themed Hillbilly Urbanities.
The program was designed by PPGDH teachers: prof. Rachel Abdala, Prof. André Luiz da Silva, and by student William de Oliveira.
Programming and partnerships encompassed:
– Talks about graffiti and country culture in Paraibuna / SP in the Hip Roça project: Mural Rural, with Daniel Brás (Artistic Director of the Hip Roça project: Mural Rural, Bachelor in Graphic Design from UNESP/ Bauru) e Lerrine Marie Schildberg (Master from the Postgraduate Program in Human Development / UNITAU)
– Theater show: “CAROLINAS”. Directed by Denilson Campos, professor at the Municipal School of Arts Maestro Fêgo Camargo and master's student at PPGDH and a group of students from the School.
– Presentation by students of the SENAR Caipira Viola Program – Taubaté Rural Union with Maestro Altemar Faria
Mediation: William Joseph Gomes de Oliveira (Master's student of the Postgraduate Program in Human Development / UNITAU)
– Caipira Urbanities in Samba, at Grafite and Jongo in Taubaté. with Rica Araújo (samba, psychologist at UNITAU),
Felipe Rezende – IFI (Visual Artist, Architect and Master in Regional Development from UNITAU), Jessica Cobra (Member of Jongo Crioulo de Taubaté, psychologist at UNITAU)
Mediation: Prof Dr Regis de Toledo Souza (Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Human Development / UNITAU).
