Summary: This lecture proposes a reflection on the concepts and methodologies that permeate the fields of education, of history and heritage. For this, in macro perspective, I will discuss the notions of “heritage education”, “heritage education” and “museum education”.  Understanding this conceptual field and the actions taken requires special attention to the broader context of educational changes., policies for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and the way in which such elements are appropriated by the subjects involved in educational activities carried out in museums, considering the uniqueness of their trajectories and the institutions themselves. The goals, about everything, are related to the defense of heritage and the preservation of records from the past – the guarantee of access and its democratization -, understood as social right, linked to identity struggles and the different possibilities of understanding past times in their engagement with present times. and to the defense, it is clear, of a museum education capable of promoting these ideals.
