Master's teacher represents Unitau at CRESS-SP event on Environmental Justice and Diversity

In day 22 from May of 2025, the teacher michele soft, teacher of Master Program in Human Development and Coordinator of the Social Work Course at the University of Taubaté (UNITAU), participated as guest of the event organized by CRESS-SP-Sectional São José dos Campos, in celebration of Day of(The) Social worker.

With the theme “Social Work in the struggle for environmental justice for the diversity of peoples and biomes”, The meeting promoted powerful reflections on the challenges faced by indigenous peoples, original communities and the environment before the current social conjuncture, political and economic. The event was held at Auditorium of the Department of Legal Sciences of UNITAU, in Taubaté/SP.

The participation of Professor Michele Fiça is inserted in the scope of the research line “Contexts, Social practices and human development ”, that investigates the immediate and distant environments that make up the contexts of human development formation. With emphasis on social practices and the creation of networks of shared meanings, The teacher contributed a critical analysis of the performance of social work in promoting environmental justice and the valorization of Brazilian ethnic-cultural diversity.
