Prof.. Drag. Rachel Duarte Abdala, General Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Human Development of the University of Taubaté participated in the days 13, 14 e 15 November 2024, of the 1st. MEETING DA NETWORK OF SCIENTIFIC WOMEN CARRIED NA CATADE DE PUEBLA, No Mexico.
In this ocasion, Prof. Rachel Abdala was also the bearer of the document that officialized the institutional partnership between UNITAU and the Benemita Universidad Autonoma of Puebla-BUAP, that was the institution that hosted this event.
Opening, held at the Carolino da Buap building on the day 13 from November, Dean María Lilia Cedillo Ramírez stated that scientific research is hard and tireless work, “A job that no one forced us to do; Perhaps we have been influenced by another scientist, or we had many questions in our heads for which we couldn't find answers ”.
Accompanied by Almudena García Manso, from Rey Juan Carlos University, in Spain, and member of the event organizing committee, the Dra. Cedillo highlighted the dedication of scientists to generate knowledge and serve as an example for future generations.
Angelica Mendieta Ramírez, Director of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, recalled that this project started 10 years under the SNI and the Ibero-American Congress of Women Researchers, that gave rise to the network of women scientists, that today has more than 4.000 academics.
This first meeting, under the theme “Seroristic reciprocity”, gathered more than 200 researchers of 22 countries.
During the three days of the meeting of the meeting were signed general agreements between institutions with gender focus and agreements between researchers. These agreements encompass the willingness to perform: publications, elaboration of scientific articles, theses, Research Stays, Teaching and Social Intervention Projects, between others.
The program included the delivery of a recognition document to institutions and researchers who are part of the scientific Mujeres RD. Also encompassed: conferences, Thematic work tables and project presentation.
