Postgraduate Program in Human Development promotes community outreach event

The Graduate Program in Human Development-PPGDH of the University of Taubaté held on the day 29 August 2024 The event “Daycamp: Human Development in the community: between research and reality ”. The event was held at the Department of Architecture and Urbanism and had several partnerships. The objective that motivated this realization was to promote the greater approach between the university and the community through research. PPGDH has an inherent trend of contact with various sectors of society and with communities due to its character and principles that express themselves in the themes of research and the fact that several teachers of the program coordinate university extension projects. The event was opened by Profa. Drag. Monica Franchi Carniello, Dean of Research and Postgraduate at UNITAU. Then, said the prof. Dr. Thiago Molina, Coordinator of the Higher Education Extension Program in the Graduate (ProExt-PG), which is funded by the Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES). The program was designed by teachers and students of the PPGDH: prof. Rachel Abdala, Prof. ANDRÉ LUIZ DA SILVA AND PROFA. Elisa Brisola; Mariana Castro and João Gualberto Salinas.

Started with the conversation wheel with masters of culture, of the project “Today is Master's Day!”Held by the City of Communication and Citizenship Rede/TV Cidade. At the PPGDH event the guest was Master Lica, what, accompanied by Master Roberto, promoted class on the country guitar and regional musicality for university students and guests present. It also told about its artistic formation and rhythmic influences, that allowed it to make it a reference as the subject is guitar and guitar in Taubaté and region.

Then the video documentary “Rua da Imaculada” was released, Produced by the collective Revondo Productions. This episode is part of the 2nd season of the Documentary series Revindo Taubaté, which aims to disseminate and preserve the memory of the oldest city of Vale do Paraíba, located in the interior of São Paulo. In the project research team participated the teachers of PPGDH: Rachel Abdala and André Luiz da Silva.

After a collective snack was held a conversation wheel with the participation of Masters by PPGDH, ELOAR LOPES, Pedro Correa e Lilian Macri, and community members like Tiago Goldsmid Galvão Prota, Farmer and Environmental Engineer. The themes discussed were: Sexual Education and Solidarity Agriculture. The discussion about solidarity agriculture involved the practice of CSA-Community that supports agriculture from Eloar Lopes' master's dissertation research.
