A Prof. Dr. Ricardo Mendes Mattos, Professor of the Graduate Program in Human Development-PPGDH, and coordinator of the Unitau Student Dean of Student Dean, performed, in day 13 February Lecture entitled; “The importance of teachers' mental health in the digital age: how to take care of yourself to take care of the other?”
The activity was part of Profoco's programming, Continuing Training Program, Action of the Dean of Undergraduate at the University of Taubaté, aimed at the institution's teachers.
The theme is pressing and. Ricardo has been committed to working in studies and his practice as coordinator of the Welfare and Mental Health Center. Their formation and performance in the area of psychology underlies their reflections and activities.
The Welfare Center & Mental health develops emotional support activities, Prevention and promotion in mental health of Unitau students, From the following interventions: individualized psychosocial support (Psychosocial Support Project – PAPS): guidance, reception and support for the university student with emotional issues that interfere with academic life; Advisory to teachers/coordinators on mental health issues of students; Antiestresse touch – Calatonia; and scientific research in mental health. Your team is interdisciplinary
In PPGDH there are other teachers and masters working with this theme and articulated themes, such as, job, teaching profession, precarious work, neoliberal context and others. The program also promotes discussions and created a study group on neoliberalism.
