More than 600 Students from municipal schools of Santo Antônio do Pinhal-SP, located in Serra da Mantiqueira participated in the first semester of 2024, of a sensory activity in Espaço Sauá, idealized by the Socio -Environmental Impact Company SBN Mata Atlântica I and featured Professor Júlio Cesar Voltolini, of the Graduate Program in Human Development-Unitau in conducting the activity. The experience aimed to bring students closer to Brazilian native plants in a playful and educational way. The classes of children of 4 years to teenagers from 16 years, they dived into a sensory garden with more than 40 plant species, Feeling the aromas, textures and even flower flavors and leaves such as basil and rosemary. Next months, The project will be expanded to include scientific initiation practices in the local forest.
